Attention Ladies!
Our fall Sunday School class has begun. We meet at 11:10 a.m. in the parlor. Since there are no Wednesday Bible Studies for ladies this fall, our class will involve more personal Bible Study than usual. We are using the book Obscure No More by LeAnne Blackmore, which is a daily inductive Bible Study. You may purchase the book and do the full study or, if you prefer, you can just participate in the class on Sundays without doing the study during the week. We always welcome new faces in our class! Contact Sandy Flewelling for more information.
January 16th – March 5th Monday evenings 6:00pm – 9:00pm. The Marriage Course is designed to build, strengthen, and even mend marriages. It helps married couples learn practical tools to build a strong and healthy marriage. Over eight evenings, couples have the chance to discuss important issues often ignored in the rush of daily life.
Each evening begins with a delicious meal. Over a candlelit dinner, couples have an opportunity to spend time together with each other. Dinner is followed by a DVD presentation, interspersed with exercises and questions for each couple to discuss privately. During the discussion times, music is played in the background to prevent any conversations from being overheard. At no time during the course is there any group discussion or any requirement to disclose anything personal to anyone other than your spouse.
“The Acts of the Apostles,” we’ll be back to our sermon and small group study in Acts January 22nd. We will continue to go through this wonderful book contextually until we finish. It will give us great insight as we see the Apostles, empowered by the Holy Spirit, fulfill the mandate that Jesus gave them and through which He built His church.
