Jesus gives The Great Commandment in Mark 12: 30-31
“And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. “And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Jesus is commanding us to love God, and love people.
Jesus gives The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20:
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
By His authority He has commissioned us to reach out to people with the message of His love for them.
Due to our desire to fulfill the Great Commandment and The Great Commission we are actively reaching out to those in our lives, community, state, nation, and the world, by ministering to them spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
