Men’s Groups
The Men’s Ministry of the Community Church of the Open Door is a fellowship of men committed to serving Christ and encouraging one another in that service, using Biblical principles to develop effective and accountable leaders at home, at work, at church and in our community.
Core Values and Guiding Principles:
- People are more important than things or activities. Our common welfare and growth in our Christian life is the purpose of our ministry.
- Scripture and the Word of God as revealed through the Holy Bible is our guide. Prayer and service are our practice.
- Openness and honesty are valued and encouraged among our brothers. Because of this, we respect and maintain the confidentiality of our brothers at all times.
- Accountability is an essential element of our ministry. We need always maintain accountability to the Lord, our church, and each other.
- Our ministry is not to be a burden but rather a blessing to the church body as a whole and is self-supporting through its own contributions and efforts.
- Decisions are made through consensus, giving every participant the opportunity to have their voice in our decisions.
Goals:
The mission of the Men’s Ministry will be accomplished by striving to achieve three primary goals:
- Providing opportunities for men to deepen their personal walk with Christ;
- Deepening and expanding the fellowship among the men in our church; and
- Expanding outreach to the community through service and sharing the good news of Jesus.
